B Swim Meet at Highland Park (Away)

The team will travel to a Monday night B Meet on Monday, June 17.  The Tidal Wave will go up against our Telegraph Road neighbors at Highland Park.

SCHEDULE

5:00 pm – Swimmers arrive

5:20 pm – Tidal Wave warm up

6:00 pm – Start Time!

OTHER DETAILS

Location: Highland Park Pool, 6400 Highland Dr, Alexandria, VA 22310

Parking: Virginia Hills families please use the Highland Park Pool parking lot.

Order of Events: We are going with the standard order of events (free, back, breast, and fly).

Team Area: The team areas are under the blue tents at the back of the pool. Virginia Hills will be on the left hand side if you are looking at the pool from the entrance (by the dive well). There is extra space behind the team area and you are welcome to bring tents for that area for shade.

Concessions: We will have Chick-fil-A as our primary option for the meet. We will be selling both sandwiches and nuggets so tell people to come hungry! Kona Ice will also be there. They’ll also have lots of snacks and drinks available for sale.

WHAT TO SWIM

  • If your swimmer only if legal in one or two strokes, that is what your swimmer will swim at the next B Meet, regardless of whether or not they participated in the A Meet.
  • If your swimmer is legal in 3 or 4 strokes and did not participate in the June 15 A Meet, pick 2 strokes to swim at the B Meet.
  • If your swimmer is legal in 3 or 4 strokes and only swam 1 stroke in the June 15 A Meet, pick 2 different strokes to swim at the B Meet.
  • If your swimmer is legal in 4 strokes and swam two strokes at the A Meet, then your swimmer swims the other two strokes at the B Meet.
  • If your swimmer is legal in 3 strokes and swam two strokes at the A Meet, then your swimmer can pick one of the A Meet strokes and the stroke not swum.
