Practices for the 2024 season begin on Tuesday, May 28. Practice with your Age Group unless the coach requests that your swimmer practices “up” or “down” a group.
What is my child’s “age?” NVSL rules that this is the age of the swimmer on June 1 of the applicable year. For example, if you child turns 9 on June 13th, they will still be an 8U swimmer for practice and competition.
Tuesday, May 28 – Thursday, June 13 will be evening practices only (no rookies). Practice times are as follows:
4:30 – 5:15 PM: 13 and older
5:15 – 5:45 PM: 8 & Under*
5:45 – 6:30 PM: 9-10 year olds
6:30 – 7:15 PM: 11-14 year olds
Morning practice will start on Friday, June 14th and runs through Wednesday, July 17. Rookies will begin on Monday, June 17.
Practice times are as follows (Monday through Friday):
7:00 – 8:00 AM: 13 and older
8:00 – 8:45 AM: 11-13 year olds**
8:45 – 9:30 AM: 9-10 year olds
9:30 – 10:15 AM: 8 & Under
10:15 – 10:45 AM: Rookies
**13 year olds may select which practice they attend.
Rookies will begin on June 17 and end on July 12 (4 weeks).
The expectation is swimmers practice in the morning during the regular summer schedule. To minimize disruption to pool members we are limiting the afternoon practices from June 18th onward to 8 & Under – 12 year old swimmers ONLY who are in camps/daycare. These practices will be held Tues-Wed-Thurs:
5:30 – 6:00 PM for 8 & Under
6:00 – 6:45 PM for 9-12 age group.
Only swimmers entered into Divisionals will practice on July 18th & 19th.
